The province of Assa-Zag is one of the border provinces that connect the Kingdom of Morocco to its two neighboring countries, Algeria and Mauritania.
Assa-Zag is one of the largest provinces in the Guelmim-Oued Noun region, with an estimated area of 27,000 square kilometers and a population of over 44,000 people.
It is characterized by its geographical diversity, between hills and mountains… such as the Bani mountains and the Ouarkziz.
The province also boasts vast plains dotted with valley paths, such as the Drâa Valley, the longest valley in Morocco.
