Rich in its natural, cultural and heritage
Saharan, the Guelmim-Oued Noun region
has tourist potential
Under-exploited. The alliance of the coastline, the desert, the
Mountains and oases offer an ideal base
for a distinctive form of tourism.
The region offers an authentic setting: earthen architecture, nomadic traditions, local crafts, Saharan cuisine, and community hospitality. It attracts niche tourism seeking human experiences, far removed from mass tourism.
Tourism is a sector with strong social and solidarity economy (SSE) compatibility: promoting local products, including women, preserving the environment, and providing cultural activities led by young people. It is a driver of inclusive sustainability.
